Shari Bossuyt has signed a three-year contract extension with AG Insurance-Soudal, keeping the Belgian rider with the Women’s WorldTour team until the end of 2029.
The new deal is a significant long-term commitment in a part of the sport where multi-year agreements are still less common. For AG Insurance-Soudal, it secures a versatile rider who has become an increasingly important part of the team’s structure. For Bossuyt, it offers stability in an environment where she says she feels trusted, supported and able to keep progressing.
Bossuyt commits long-term future to AG Insurance-Soudal
AG Insurance-Soudal announced the extension with the message: “The journey continues.”
That wording fits the tone of the deal. Bossuyt joined the team last season and has since become a valued rider across different race situations, contributing in support roles while also taking her own chances when the opportunity has been there.
The contract running through 2029 gives both sides time to build properly. In women’s cycling, where team structures and rider contracts are becoming more professional but still developing, a long-term agreement like this sends a clear message. AG Insurance-Soudal see Bossuyt as part of their future, not simply as a short-term squad member.

Foré praises resilience and professionalism
AG Insurance-Soudal CEO Jurgen Foré said the team was pleased to keep Bossuyt in place for the next phase of her career.
“We are extremely pleased that Shari has chosen to continue her journey with AG Insurance-Soudal,” Foré said. “The long-term commitment makes this extension even more meaningful for both parties.”
Foré highlighted Bossuyt’s resilience, professionalism and determination as major reasons behind the renewal.
“Since Shari joined AG Insurance-Soudal, she has shown tremendous resilience, professionalism and determination,” he said. “We have seen her continue to grow as a rider and as a person, while consistently delivering strong performances and valuable results for the team.”
The team clearly believe there is more still to come. Bossuyt is 25, already experienced at a high level, but still at an age where further progression should be possible with the right calendar, support and race opportunities.
“We firmly believe that Shari’s best years are still ahead of her,” Foré said. “This agreement reflects the confidence we have in her abilities and our ambition to continue building together. We are looking forward to seeing her take the next steps in her development and contribute to the success of the team in the years to come.”

Bossuyt said the team environment played a major role in her decision to extend.
“I am incredibly happy to extend my contract with AG Insurance-Soudal and continue this journey for the coming years,” she said. “The team gave me the opportunity to join last season, and from day one it has felt like the right environment for me to grow both as a rider and as a person.”
She pointed to the trust and atmosphere inside the squad as especially important.
“What makes this team so special is the trust, professionalism and family atmosphere that surrounds it,” Bossuyt said. “I feel at home here, and that is something that is extremely important to me.”
That sense of belonging matters in a long-term deal. Bossuyt’s role is not only about results, but about continuing to develop as part of a team that has invested heavily in its structure, identity and rider support.
“We have already shared many great moments together, but I truly believe there is still a lot more to achieve,” she added. “I am grateful for the confidence the team continues to show in me, and I am highly motivated to keep working hard, contribute to the team’s success and pursue our ambitions together.”
Belgian championships next on the agenda
Bossuyt’s next target comes quickly, with the Belgian national championships on Sunday.
She made clear that she will not be starting without ambition, particularly on a course she believes should suit her.
“Starting with the BK next Sunday,” Bossuyt said. “The course should suit me, so I won’t be lining up on Sunday without ambition.”
That line gives the extension an immediate sporting edge. The long-term commitment stretches to the end of 2029, but Bossuyt is already looking at the next chance to deliver.
For AG Insurance-Soudal, keeping her through 2029 adds another stable piece to a team trying to build sustained strength in the Women’s WorldTour. For Bossuyt, the deal provides the backing to keep developing, chase bigger results and continue a career that now has a clear home for the next three seasons.
