Career overview
Landa turned professional through the Euskadi system before becoming a leading Grand Tour climber with Astana. He finished third at the Giro d’Italia in 2015 and again in 2022, while also placing fourth at the Tour de France in 2017 and 2020. Spells with Team Sky, Movistar and Bahrain Victorious established him as a regular GC contender before he joined Soudal Quick-Step in 2024. In 2026 he returned to the Vuelta a España and won the mountain-heavy stage 20 on Collado del Alguacil. Landa will return to Euskaltel-Euskadi for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, bringing his career back to the Basque team structure where it began.
