Alice Coutinho and Constance Valentin will both remain with Mayenne Monbana My Pie for the 2027 season after agreeing one-year contract extensions with the French ProTeam. The team confirmed the renewals this week, retaining two riders who filled very different roles across its 2026 campaign.
Coutinho, 26, gives Mayenne another climbing option after a season in which she stepped up to a higher level of racing and became increasingly visible on mountainous terrain. Valentin, 28, offers a different profile, with her attacking style and willingness to work for leaders making her a regular presence in breakaways and support roles throughout the year.
The two extensions continue a busy period of roster building for Mayenne ahead of 2027. The team have already announced several new signings and renewals, including Justine Gegu staying for another season, while Swedish champion Clara Lundmark will join for 2027.
Coutinho rewarded after breakthrough climbing performances
Coutinho returned to the team for 2026 after previously racing with the structure, with ProCyclingUK covering her move back ahead of the season. She quickly justified that decision by producing some of the strongest climbing performances of her career.
Her most visible spell came at La Vuelta Femenina, where she wore the mountains jersey for two days and showed that she could compete for secondary classifications at WorldTour level. She later finished eighth on a stage of the Tour Féminin des Pyrénées, eighth at the Pionera Race and 12th at the Alpes Grésivaudan Classic.
Her season ended early after she fractured her collarbone at the Tour de France Femmes. That cut short a year in which she had been building momentum, but the new deal gives her the chance to carry that progress into 2027 rather than having the injury define the end of her campaign.

Valentin remains one of Mayenne’s breakaway specialists
Valentin has now spent three seasons within the Mayenne structure and has become one of its most recognisable attacking riders. She featured in breakaways at races including Milan-San Remo Women, the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas and the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya Femenina, often giving the team visibility in races where it was difficult to challenge the biggest squads head-on.
Her value has also come from working for teammates when required. Mayenne manager Jean-Christophe Barbotin described her as one of the pillars of the team because of her experience and consistency, qualities that are especially important in a squad still developing its depth at ProTeam level.
Valentin said the decision to stay was straightforward after three years with the team, describing the environment as one where she feels at home. Her extension means Mayenne retain a rider who can animate races herself while still filling a dependable domestique role when the team has a stronger leader for the day.
Mayenne keep continuity around a changing 2027 squad
The Coutinho and Valentin renewals give Mayenne continuity at a time when the wider roster is changing. The team have brought in new riders for 2027 while also keeping a core group who already understand its race programme and internal structure.
For Coutinho, the next step will be to build on the climbing performances that marked her 2026 breakthrough once she is fully recovered. For Valentin, the target is likely to be more of the same aggressive racing that has made her useful across one-day events and stage races. Together, their extensions preserve two complementary roles within Mayenne’s 2027 plans.
