A breakdown of Lizzie Deignan’s Roubaix winning machine
Lizzie Deignan soloed to win the inaugural edition of the Paris-Roubaix Femmes in emphatic fashion on Saturday 2nd October. It was an inspiring display of bravery and strength, as well as a seamless display of rider and machine running in perfect unison. Follow on for the details of Lizzieโs bike with the full specification at the end.
The winning bike – a Trek Domane SLR – has been preserved in its finishing state and will be displayed at Trek HQ in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
A single 50-tooth chainring was Lizzie’s choice, along with a chain catcher.
Rolling on Bontrager RSL 37v wheels, a gravel version of our wheels which feature a wider profile. We paired these with 30mm Pirelli P Zero tubeless tires and a foam insert. 0 punctures from the whole Team!
A 10-33 tooth cassette gave Lizzie plenty of choice over the cobbles. Smooth shifting and reliable braking courtesy of a SRAM Red eTap AXS disc groupset.
Our team mechanic added an insurance policy to the derailleur – a simple elastic band to ensure the battery stayed in place.
The seventeen cobbled sectors which made up the first Paris-Roubaix Femmes. The handlebars feature SRAM blips for extra shifting options.
No gloves for Queen Lizzie…
