Annemiek van Vleuten: «Tokyo was for me one of those incredible moments, that sport gives you once in a lifetime, in which you can quickly pick yourself up when things have not gone well for you after putting a lot of time and effort into your work. To be back racing, just two days after what happened in the online event, and to get that gold was a wonderful moment. I am very happy that the world press has given importance to that achievement and to receive this Laureus nomination. Congratulations to all the nominees, both in my category and in all those that make up the awards».
