Annemiek van Vleuten to return to cycling as TV analyst for NOS & Sporza

WC23 - Annemiek van Vleuten

Annemiek van Vleuten, the retired Dutch cyclist, is embarking on a new chapter in her career as she transitions into the role of an analyst for NOS and Sporza. Despite ending her professional cycling journey at the conclusion of last year, Van Vleuten remains deeply involved in the sport, offering her insights and expertise during various women’s races throughout the year.

Van Vleuten’s role as an analyst mirrors that of Tom Dumoulin in men’s races. She will kick off her analyst duties this spring with Gent-Wevelgem for Sporza and the Amstel Gold Race for NOS. Additionally, she will provide commentary during the National Cycling Championships and will be a fixture at major events such as the Olympic Games, the World Championships, and the Tour de France Femmes.

Her transition into the world of sports analysis comes after an illustrious cycling career that spanned 18 years, during which she clinched two world championships and secured 104 professional victories. Van Vleuten’s continued involvement in cycling, albeit in a different capacity, is welcomed by fans and enthusiasts alike, ensuring that her expertise and passion for the sport remain integral to its coverage and development.
