It’s no secret that Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports loves races in the Basque Country. That is why we are very happy to finally be able to race there again. The Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar promises to be a tough but epic race.
Marissa Baks, Inez Beijer and Daniek Hengeveld form the Dutch part of the team. The team is completed by Swedish champion Nathalie Eklund, Czech Melissa van Neck and Henrietta Colborne. For the Brit, it will be her first UCI race of the season and we are very happy to be able to race with her again!
“This will be a very tough, but very nice race. In the 117.2 kilometre long races we have to cross three climbs, of which the last one, just before the finish, is by far the toughest. It starts with the Alto Udana, after which the Alto Itziar looms. But the main focus of the race is the mythical climb to Santuario de Arrate. 4.2 kilometres at an average gradient of 9.1 per cent. That will be a tough job, but a great experience! ”
