Baloise Ladies Tour: five days, six stages

A few days after the Giro Donne Liv Racing Xstra is at the start line again, for the Baloise Ladies Tour this time. This five day stage race will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The Baloise Ladies Tour starts with a prologue in Utrecht on Wednesday evening. From there the peloton heads to Belgium for stages in Zulte and Herzele. Saturday there will be a double stage. First the riders have a stage from Cadzand to Knokke-Heist, followed by an individual time trial over 15,6 km. Sunday the race ends with a stage in Deinze.

Liv Racing Xstra brings five riders to the start in Utrecht: Eva Buurman, Alison Jackson, Amber van der Hulst, Jeanne Korevaar and Sabrina Stultiens. The last one is making her return after a long period without racing, so she is very excited to be back in the peloton. “It is been a long time without races. I only rode the national championships in the last four months. In the last weeks I have been building up my training rides. Last week I went training in the Vosges with team mate Silke. We did some good training rides there and also did a recon of some Tour de France stages.”

“I am still building up, so I start without real expectations for this race. The goal is to gain some race rhythm and strength during the stages and try to be of use for the team. I hope I can make a step forward again in use of the rest of the season. There are still a lot beautiful races coming up.”
