CAMS-Tifosi to ride Amstel Gold Race

CAMS-Tifosi will be the only British womenโ€™s team to ride the Amstel Gold Race 2020.

The first of the Ardennes classics takes place on Sunday 19 April. The race is part of the UCI Womenโ€™s WorldTour and draws in some of the top riders in the world.

Executive Team Manager and CAMS Brand Ambassador, Tony Doyle MBE said: โ€œThereโ€™s a lot of competition for places, so weโ€™re delighted that CAMS-Tifosi will be riding the Amstel Gold Race in its first year at UCI Womenโ€™s Continental level. Leo van Vliet, the race director, is a former rival and old friend of mine and itโ€™s great to have his support.โ€

The team is looking forward to taking on the infamous Cauberg Hill and its first taste of racing against some of the top riders in the womenโ€™s pro peloton in 2020.

Look out for an announcement about our team roster for the race in April.

The CAMS-Tifosi team was recently confirmed as having attained UCI Womenโ€™s Continental Team status for the 2020 racing season.

CAMS is part of Direct Accident Management, one of the UKโ€™s leading accident management companies. CAMS and the wider group have been helping people who have been involved in car, motorcycle or cycling accidents since the company was founded in 1996. Since then they have assisted thousands of clients by getting them back on the road.

This new, three-year sponsorship deal has been specifically tailored to enable the team to enjoy long-term stability and focus on rider development.
