Every now and again I go on an Audax – a much longer and slower ride where the sense of achievement comes from purely completing the distance and not from what time you did. They’re more leisurely and often much more satisfying with chances to look around the area you’re cycling in. I’ve done a couple so far but I’m looking to add to the tally.
