Jolien d’Hoore (Retired)

Jolien D’Hoore is a retired Belgian cyclist who enjoyed a highly successful career on both the road and track. A powerful sprinter and accomplished Classics rider, she won major one-day races including Gent-Wevelgem and the Three Days of Bruges-De Panne while also collecting numerous Belgian national titles. On the track, D’Hoore won an Olympic bronze medal in the omnium at Rio 2016 before ending her professional racing career in 2021.

Career overview

D’Hoore developed into one of Belgium’s leading sprinters after combining road racing with an elite track programme. She became Belgian road race champion on multiple occasions and achieved her biggest Classics victory at Gent-Wevelgem in 2017. Further major wins followed at the Three Days of Bruges-De Panne, Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta and numerous international stage races. Her track career was equally distinguished, culminating in bronze in the omnium at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. D’Hoore raced for several of the strongest teams in women’s cycling, including Wiggle High5, Mitchelton-Scott, Boels Dolmans and SD Worx. She retired from professional racing at the end of the 2021 season after more than a decade at the highest level.
