Danique Braam will ride for the Hess Cycling Team from the 2025 season, moving from Belgian squad Chevalmeire, where she has spent the past three years. The 29-year-old from Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, announced the transfer as she looks ahead to a new chapter in her career.
“I am ready to take on new challenges and push my limits,” Braam said of the move. “I believe this is a fantastic opportunity with a team full of potential.”
Hess Cycling shared their excitement about the signing on Instagram, writing:
“We have more exciting news for the team. Danique Braam is joining us for the 2025 season! This talented cyclist from the Netherlands is known for her exceptional skills in the peloton and her impressive speed. She showcased her talent by clinching victory at the GP Mazda Schelkens in 2022, proving her capability in fast-paced races.
“We are thrilled to welcome Danique to our team and canโt wait to see her in action. Her experience and talent will undoubtedly be a tremendous asset as we aim for success in the upcoming season. Welcome aboard, Danique!”
Braam first turned professional with Lotto Soudal Ladies in 2019, remaining with the team for three years. After departing the Belgian outfit, she joined Chevalmeire, where she secured her sole victory to date: a win at the GP Mazda Schelkens in 2022.
The move to Hess Cycling follows a busy transfer period for the team, which has also signed Kate Richardson from the, unfortunately, closed Lifeplus-Wahoo team and re-signed Liv Wenzel for 2025.
