Équipe Paule Ka ready for Gent-Wevelgem

Équipe Paule Ka will be taking to the start line of Gent-Wevelgem this Sunday. At 136.9 km in length, the race includes six hills and two dirt road sections. The final 34 km will be run on a flat parcours.

The race starts in Ypres before the riders take to the flat roads of Flanders. After a series of flat passages 50 km into racing, the peloton will face the first of the uphill sections of the Baneberg and, 5 km later, the Kemmelberg, a 3 km-long and 4 per cent steep ascent that ramps up to 17 per cent. The riders will then head towards the Monteberg, a climb of 1.3 km with a gradient of 7.1 per cent.

After these three hellingen, the peloton will take on the plugstreets, two sections of dirt road that follow in rapid succession. Once completed, the riders will face the final 63km, where they will again face the Baneberg – Kemmelberg – Monteberg combo before entering the finish town of Wevelgem.

Our squad for the race consists of:
– Elise Chabbey
– Niamh Fisher-Black
– Mikayla Harvey
– Emma Norsgaard
– Marlen Reusser
– Maria Vittoria Sperotto
