Career overview
Oliveira was one of Brazil’s most successful road cyclists, building her career around climbing, stage races and national championship performances. She won the mountains classification at the 2015 Giro d’Italia Femminile, then took overall victory and the mountains classification at the 2016 Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l’Ardèche. Her Olympic ride in Rio later that year became one of the defining results of her career, finishing 7th in the road race, the best Olympic cycling placing by a Brazilian rider at the time. Oliveira also won Brazilian national road race and time-trial titles, represented Brazil at multiple World Championships and remained active across road and gravel into the 2020s before retiring.
