Ingvild Gaskjenn to BikeExchange-Jacyo from 2023

Ingvild Gaskjenn

After 6 years on the Team Coop-Hitec Products team, the Norwegian Ingvild Gaskjenn has agreed to join BikeExchange-Jayco. She starts on a 2-year deal on the Australia team, her first contract in the Women’s WorldTour. A strong allrounder, Gaskjenn will add to her new team’s strength and depth. Now 24 years old, she is ready to make the next step in her career.

“I am really happy to be able to join such a great team for the next two years. GreenEDGE Cycling has always been one of the best teams in Women’s WorldTour and this makes me really proud.

I feel ready to take the next step in my career, and I feel like Team BikeExchange-Jayco is a great place to continue my development. I’m really looking forward for the next couple years in order to contribute to the team and my continuous growth.”

Already on the radar as a rider to watch out for, Gaskjenn has had a series of strong results in the 2022 season. A trio of top-10 stage results at the Thüringen Ladies Tour, combined with a brace at each of the Women’s Tour and Tour de Suisse is a decent season for most riders. Her consistency also allowed her to finish 9th in GC at the Tour of Uppsala recently too. In their press release, BikeExchange-Jayco highlights her fighter’s mentality and her great ability to suffer.

“We are pleased to welcome Ingvild onto the team in 2023, she is a rider that our women’s team has been looking at over the past seasons and we believe she will fit in very well and strengthen our team further.

She is still very young, and we believe she has a lot of potential. We hope we can provide Ingvild with the right environment and resourses she needs to grow, to reach her true potential and also become a part of the team’s success in the future. It is exciting for us to bring on fresh new talent as we continue to grow as an organisation, with high ambitions for the future.”
