Itelligence joins the ‘revolutions’

Itelligence recently announced the sponsorship of the Drops Women’s cycling team for the 2020 season. Drops is the UK’s highest ranked UCI cycling team participating in the UCI Women’s World Tour, the elite competition circuit for women’s road cycling that comprises 21 international race events.

Justin Brading, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at itelligence UK&I, commented, “Drops rider, Joscelin Lowden is one of the best female cyclists in the UK with a shot at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics and is a valued employee of itelligence UK. We are supporting Jos with a part-time working model to help in her career ambitions. Observing Jos’s success in 2019, we are keen to extend our support further by sponsoring her racing team as we see Jos as an ambassador for the itelligence brand.”

The Drops team riders are well known for performance and excellence, a one-team mentality and a strong belief in gender equality. This naturally aligns with itelligence’s mission to inspire our people to grow, to drive innovation, to support gender diversity and to ultimately transform trust into value. Our ‘Women in Technology forum’ was created in 2018 to support and mentor women through training and the promotion process ensuring, wherever possible, more women are promoted into senior positions within the business. We have also joined the TechTalentCharter that brings together industries and organisations to drive diversity and address gender imbalance in technology roles.

Joscelin Lowden, Project Manager, itelligence UK & Cyclist commented, “itelligence is supporting me to achieve both my professional potential and my aspirations in international cycling. My employer is a true partner who enables me to continue developing my career as well as my sport. It really is a great place to work.”

Bob Varney, Team Director, Drops commented, “We remain committed to fighting the fight in terms of empowering young women to find a career in professional sport. Our partnership with itelligence will help us on our journey and their support clearly demonstrates their commitment to gender equality and employee engagement.”
