The peloton left the cobbles classics behind and is moving to the Ardennes now. Wednesday the 25th edition of La Flèche Wallonne Féminine takes place. It marks the return of Jeanne Korevaar in the peloton.

When you say La Flèche Wallonne Féminine, you say the Mur de Huy. The organizers included three ascents of this famed climb. After almost 70 km the peloton enters a local circuit in Huy, where the first ascent of the Mur waits for the riders. On the local lap the Côte d’Ereffe, Côte de Cherave and the Mur de Huy will be climbed twice, with the finish on the final climb of the Mur de Huy.

Liv Racing Xstra starts with Valerie Demey, Alison Jackson, Marta Jaskulska, Jeanne Korevaar and Katia Ragusa. Korevaar makes her return to the peloton after a positive covid-test some weeks ago. “I am happy to race again after this crazy period. After my positive covid-test I stayed in isolation. Fortunately the symptoms were mild, I was very tired and was coughing a lot. After I felt a little better and was out of isolation I started my training again. It took some time to get back on a good level. We also did a medical test and those results were good too, so all lights are on green to start racing again. I will take it race by race and hopefully I will improve every race, so we can go for the best possible result with the team”, Korevaar looked back on the last weeks.
