Laboral Kutxa confirms its 2023 rider line-up ahead of Costa de Almería

Laboral-Kutxa-2023

Laboral Kutxa has confirmed its 17-strong rider line-up for the 2023 season. The Basque team is looking to make progress ahead of a potential budget increase, in part due to the new Spanish minimum wage regulations that will affect the women’s peloton in 2024. It’s the 5th season for the team, and 3rd at UCI Continental level, linked to the Euskadi Foundation.

Laboral Kutxa confirmed Yurani Blanco, Idoia Eraso, Ariana Gilabert, Eider Merino, Usoa Ostolaza, Nadia Quagliotto, Aileen Schweikart and Alba Teruel as the 8 riders due to take part in the Women Cycling Sport Costa de Almería this Sunday. For Merino, Quagliotto, Schweikart and Teruel it will be their debut with Laboral Kutxa. All 17 riders have taken part in a training camp in Altea for the last week.

“I would like to emphasise the enthusiasm and desire that the cyclists and the entire technical group convey to me to start 2023. In fact, we are in Alicante, to tighten the training and to be able to start in the best possible conditions. It is clear that we are putting our best face forward and as much as possible and that we will try to be the most advanced. In fact, I think we will have the opportunity to at least fight for the victory of the race. It will be an interesting level at the end, with the WorldTour and several teams of our level.”
