Lara Vieceli (Retired)

Lara Vieceli is a retired Italian cyclist who spent more than a decade racing professionally across the European peloton. A versatile all-rounder capable of performing in stage races and on rolling terrain, she represented a succession of Italian and international teams before finishing her career with Israel-Premier Tech Roland in 2023. Vieceli’s strongest results included victory in the prologue of the Tour de Bretagne FĂ©minin and third overall at the Giro del Trentino Alto Adige-SĂ¼dtirol.

Career overview

Vieceli turned professional in 2012 and developed into a consistent stage racer during spells with several Italian teams. She finished third overall at the Giro del Trentino Alto Adige-SĂ¼dtirol in 2015 before enjoying her strongest season in 2016, winning the Tour de Bretagne FĂ©minin prologue, taking the mountains classification at the Giro della Toscana and finishing fourth overall there. Vieceli later spent two seasons with Astana Women’s Team before joining WNT-Rotor and remaining with the organisation as it became Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling. Her later career included fourth at Grand Prix International d’Isbergues and a stage podium at the 2022 Vuelta a Burgos Feminas. She completed her final professional season with Israel-Premier Tech Roland in 2023 before retiring.
