Leonie Bentveld has committed her future to Pauwels Sauzen–Bingoal, signing a contract extension that will keep her with the team until the end of 2026. The Dutch rider also retains her agreement with AG Insurance–Soudal, which allows her to compete on the road outside of the cyclocross season.
Bentveld initially joined Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal in 2021 as a junior, signing a contract through to 2024, with an option for two more years. Her steady development has seen her become a key figure within the squad, and this progress has now been rewarded with a long-term deal.
Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal team manager, Jurgen Mettepenningen, expressed his satisfaction with Bentveld’s decision to stay with the team. “We are very pleased that Leonie has confirmed her trust in the team,” he said. “Leonie is young, promising, but above all, talented. We have complete confidence in her, and we are looking forward to achieving great goals together.”
Bentveld, in turn, is excited about the future and eager to push herself further. “With this contract extension, I want to continue my journey towards an even higher level,” she explained. “I’m grateful that I can combine cyclocross with road racing thanks to AG Insurance – Soudal. Having a good road season was important to me, and I’ve achieved that.”
Mettepenningen also highlighted the importance of the collaboration with AG Insurance–Soudal, which remains in place until 2026. “This partnership will only benefit Leonie’s development,” he added.
In addition to Bentveld, Pauwels Sauzen–Bingoal also extended contracts for development riders Kenay de Moyer and Shanyl De Schoesitter, further strengthening their lineup for the future.
