Liv Racing secures green jersey on final day Ladies Tour of Norway

Liv Racing has finished the Ladies Tour of Norway in an excellent way. In the 143 kilometre final stage to Halden, Alison Jackson secured the points classification (the green jersey). In the first intermediate sprint our Canadian finished third, in the second she finished first. It was enough to beat direct competitor Kristen Faulkner. Jackson finished eighth in the stage. Chloe Hosking won the stage, Annemiek van Vleuten the general classification.

“We are absolutely satisfied with how it went today. We achieved one of the two big goals: winning the green jersey. In addition, we wanted to go for the stage win, but that turned out to be a bridge too far”, said Alison Jackson.

“It was quite a fight for the green jersey. The team helped me a lot today. First in the preparation for the first intermediate sprint. There I managed to finish third behind the breakaway riders, which put me on par with Faulkner in terms of points. In the second intermediate sprint I was able to take the lead. It was great working with the riders and staff. Everyone was on board 110 percent to execute the team plan. I am proud that we can take the green jersey home.”
