The Trofeo Oro in Euro is a race that’s getting a bigger and bigger reputation. Part of that is the patronage of Lidl-Trek who are bringing big-name riders to the 1.1 Italian race. The day after Strade Bianche, it’s a nice way to get another day of racing in before the peloton heads to Northern Italy for Trofeo Alfredo Binda. Located on the Tuscany coast, it’s a chance to have a pair of hill reps to decide the winner in what is undoutedbly an easier race than the gravel one the day before! Not everyone will have raced both days so we might see the effect of fresh legs on the peloton.
