The final race of the 2024 Challenge Mallorca series sees the peloton tackle the Trofeo Binissalem-Andratx. It features a similar amount of climbing to yesterday’s Trofeo Palma won by Magdeleine Vallieres Mill, but the tough bits are just stretched out a little bit more and a tough further from the finish line. There’s a chance for someone like Marta Lach who finished 4th yesterday as a rider with a fast finisher who can negotiate the climbs. We might also see the purer climbers really attack the race in a way they only truly did over the last summit yesterday.
The Challenge Mallorca series is 3 races held day after day which is like a mini-stage race but without a general classification tying the stages together. Teams are free to enter different riders for the different races too, so a mini squad can rotate and ensure some racing in the legs for many riders in the first days of the 2024 women’s cycling season.
