Lucinda Stewart joins Infusion Network | Meridian for 2027

Australian rider Lucinda Stewart will join Infusion Network | Meridian for the 2027 season, moving across after two years in the GreenEDGE Cycling development structure.

The 21-year-old arrives as a former Australian elite and under-23 road race champion, having taken both titles in the same race in Perth in January 2025. Infusion Network | Meridian confirmed the signing through its team announcement, describing Stewart as an important addition to a young squad being built for 2027.

Stewart has spent the past two seasons with Liv AlUla Jayco Women’s Continental Team after signing a two-year agreement with GreenEDGE ahead of 2025. That move followed a strong 2024 campaign with ARA | Skip Capital, when she won the Lochard Energy Warrnambool Women’s Cycling Classic, finished third at Région Pays de la Loire Tour – Féminin and placed 20th overall at RideLondon Classique.

Stewart’s Australian title remains the standout result

Her biggest result came in her first race for Liv AlUla Jayco Continental. Stewart attacked into a five-rider move at the 2025 Australian Road National Championships in Perth and stayed clear as the advantage stretched beyond six minutes.

She then beat Ella Simpson in the sprint to win the elite title, while also taking the under-23 championship as the first U23 rider across the line. ProCyclingUK covered Stewart’s double national-title victory in Perth, a result that immediately gave her a season in the green-and-gold jersey.

Stewart’s strengths have generally shown best in hard races that still come back to a reduced finish. Before joining GreenEDGE she had already described short climbs, smaller groups and chaotic bunch finishes as the type of racing that suited her, and the Australian title followed exactly that pattern.

Her 2026 road season has been quieter, with a programme built around events such as the Vuelta a Extremadura Femenina, Clásica de Almería, Midwest Cycling Classic and Omloop van Borsele. She finished 21st at Clásica de Almería and 13th on stage two of the Vuelta a Extremadura, while continuing to race within GreenEDGE’s Continental development set-up.

Infusion Network | Meridian add experience to a young 2027 squad

For Infusion Network | Meridian, Stewart adds a rider who is still young enough to develop but already has four seasons of Continental-level racing behind her. She also brings experience from WorldTour events, including RideLondon Classique and the Tour of Chongming Island, alongside the pressure that comes with racing in a national champion’s jersey.

The team highlighted her fast finish and ability to read races as two of the qualities they expect to use in 2027. Those traits should give Stewart options both as a protected rider in selective races and as part of the team’s wider sprint and one-day structure.

The move also gives Stewart a fresh environment after two years in the GreenEDGE system. She joined that programme with the aim of using it as a route towards the highest level of women’s cycling, and while the 2025 national title was the clearest result of that period, the two seasons also added another substantial block of European racing experience.

Infusion Network | Meridian are continuing to shape a youthful 2027 roster, and Stewart arrives as one of the more experienced names within that group despite only turning 22 in December. Her combination of national-title success, European racing and finishing speed gives the team a rider capable of contributing immediately while still having room to develop further.
