Maaike Boogaard

Maaike Boogaard is a Dutch professional cyclist who races for VolkerWessels Cycling Team. A strong rouleur and time-trialist, she has spent much of her career competing at WorldTour level while also proving capable in one-day races and shorter stage races. Boogaard’s major victories include the EPZ Omloop van Borsele and Grand Prix International d’Isbergues, while she has also recorded top-10 general classification finishes at the Tour of Chongming Island, Ceratizit Festival Elsy Jacobs and Baloise Ladies Tour.

Career overview

Boogaard stepped up to UCI level with BTC City Ljubljana in 2017 and developed into a reliable all-rounder across the European calendar. She finished eighth overall at the 2019 Tour of Chongming Island and repeated that result at the 2020 Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta. After spells with Alé BTC Ljubljana and UAE Team ADQ, she won the 2022 EPZ Omloop van Borsele and finished eighth overall at the Ceratizit Festival Elsy Jacobs. Boogaard later joined AG Insurance-Soudal, taking third at GP Oetingen in 2023 before winning Grand Prix International d’Isbergues and finishing fourth overall at the 2024 Baloise Ladies Tour. She moved to VolkerWessels Cycling Team for 2025 and remained with the team in 2026.
