Mavi Garcia is again ITT Spanish champion. Guderzo takes bronze at ITT Italian Championships

After the titles of Marlen Reusser in Switzerland and Eugenia Bujak in Slovenia in recent days, today came the third national title from Spain with Mavi Garcia who was confirmed as time trial champion. In the 24.6 km ITT in Bussot, near Alicante, the Spanish rider was the strongest with a time of 35’28” at an average speed of 41.617 km/h. She preceded Sara Martin and Lourdes Oyarbide, both of the Movistar Team.

Mavi Garcia said after the victory: “I’m very happy to have won the Spanish Time Trial Championship again. Initially the circuit presented a very varied course, with climbs, descents and long flat roads, and I didn’t know very well how I would interpret it. The truth is that in the race I felt much better than I thought I would and so I’m very happy with this result”.

But it didn’t end there. In fact, today, they have arrived other two good results for the squad of the team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti.

Tatiana Guderzo has gone to take a beautiful bronze medal at the ITT Italian Championships in Faenza (Ravenna), finishing behind the favorite Elisa Longo Borghini and Soraya Paladin. For the occasion the italian athlete of Alé BTC Ljubljana has raced with the colours of his military sports group, the Gs Fiamme Azzurre.

From Russia, however, comes the fourth victory in three days, thanks to Anastasiia Chursina who, after the fifth place yesterday in the National Time Trial Championship, today won a national mixed Team Time Trial. The athletes’ attentions now turn to the road race of their respective national championships.
