Omer Shapira (Retired)
Omer Shapira is a retired Israeli professional cyclist who specialised in climbing and time-trials. A six-time Israeli road race champion and two-time national time-trial champion, she represented Israel at the Tokyo Olympics and competed at Women’s WorldTour level with Canyon SRAM and EF Education-TIBCO-SVB.

Career overview
Shapira won six consecutive Israeli road race championships from 2017 to 2022 and added national time-trial titles in 2020 and 2022. Her strongest international season came in 2019 with Canyon SRAM, when she finished third overall at the Colorado Classic, eighth at the Tour of California and 13th in the World Championship time-trial. She represented Israel at the Tokyo Olympics, finishing 24th in the road race and 15th in the individual time-trial. Shapira also completed three editions of the Giro d’Italia Women and finished tenth overall at the 2021 Setmana Ciclista Valenciana. After two seasons with EF Education-TIBCO-SVB, she briefly returned to racing with Doltcini O’Shea in 2024 before retiring from professional cycling in May that year.
