The day on, day off pattern of racing continues when we line up in Durango-Durango Labor Kutxa Emakumeen Saria on Tuesday 18 May. Our team’s roster will be Alice Barnes, Hannah Barnes, Elise Chabbey, Ella Harris, Kasia Niewiadoma and Omer Shapira. The 115 kilometre race signals a return to racing for Kasia after the Polish rider took a small break following the Ardennes Classics.
“I’m feeling very refreshed! I’ve been watching the team race so well together in Spain so I’m excited to come in and add some fresh legs,” said Kasia.
Mikayla Harvey, who was fifth at GP Ciudad de Eibar has decided to not start at the team’s next race, Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria in two day’s time.
“I want be fresh for Vuelta a Burgos stage race which starts on 20 May and I am extremely motivated for that tour. With three days of recovery I believe I will be in the best form I have had this season, and I will be ready to be the best possible support for Kasia. I can’t wait to put the pressure on and create some moves, especially on the final day which has a similar finish to today!” added Mikayla
