Career overview

Pieterse became under-23 cyclocross world champion in 2022 before establishing herself among the elite in both cyclocross and mountain biking. She won the overall cross-country mountain-bike World Cup in 2023 and became elite cross-country world champion in 2024. Her road breakthrough came at the 2024 Tour de France Femmes, where she won stage four and the young rider classification before becoming under-23 road world champion. Pieterse won La Flèche Wallonne Femmes in 2025 and finished second at Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
