Rally Cycling joins forces with Rudy Project for 2021

Rally Cycling and Rudy Project have today announced a new partnership for the 2021 season. Rudy Project will equip the riders with high-performance sunglasses and support Rally Cycling in both its on- and off-bike endeavours.

The team is excited to join forces with the Italian sunglasses company, which has more than 35 years of experience in producing high-quality performance glasses across a multitude of sports.

Both men’s and women’s programs will be equipped with a choice of either the Cutline or Propulse models from Rudy Project’s performance range. These models are ideal for racing due to the interchangeable lenses, adjustability, and super-wide field of vision. The riders will also be wearing Rudy Project’s casual line when they are off the bike.

Rudy Project began life in Treviso, Italy in 1985 and has been perfecting its eyewear ever since. Through continuous athlete feedback and dogged technological development, the current collection of sports eyewear reaches the pinnacle of comfort and performance for athletes.

“Rudy Project has crafted the finest cycling eyewear for over 35 years, and we are honoured to continue that tradition by partnering with Rally Cycling,” said Rudy Project’s Chris Lupo.

The sunglasses giant is also excited to help support Rally Cycling’s bigger picture goals, says Lupo.

We are thrilled to be aiding Rally Cycling in its mission to help people live healthier lives – as an outdoor brand of long-standing we know the value of this better than most.”

Performance director Jonas Carney added.

“Comfort and confidence in your eyewear are vital in the most crucial moments of a race. Rally Cycling is excited to embark on this new partnership with Rudy Project, confident it will elevate both our athlete’s performance and comfort on the bike.”

The Cutline features an interchangeable lens so riders will be prepared for all types of weather. They’ll also benefit from a broad field of vision with wide shield lenses and a wraparound rimless lens. This is truly state-of-the-art eyewear technology.

The Propulse, a winner of Bicycling’s Editor’s Choice award, will be available to riders who prefer a smaller style of shades – and they offer fantastic ventilation around the face. They also tip the scales at a featherweight 26 grams.

As with all Rudy Project performance eyewear, the Cutline and Propulse are equipped with adjustable nose pieces, and the Cutline also benefits from adjustable temples – so riders can dial in the perfect fit for their face. Most importantly for Rally Cycling’s elite riders, this means the sunglasses will stay put no matter how hard they’re pushing.

Ideal for cycling and racing, Rudy Project sunglasses come equipped with several lens options, including RP Optics lens technologies and ImpactX photochromic lenses for those variable weather situations. These lens technologies aim to provide riders with maximum clarity and vision even when the weather turns, so riders can focus on the road in front of them.

Through these technologies, Rudy Project sunglasses deliver a perfect balance of ventilation, comfort, durability, and vision.

Glasses in Rudy Project’s casual collection also benefit from extensive technical advantages and a full range of prescription solutions. The casual collection includes the Spinair 57, Astroloop, and Croze models and is a seamless integration of performance technology with comfort and style. Look out for the riders and staff wearing these stylish shades at a race near you.
