Teams Confirmed for Strongest Ever 2024 Ford RideLondon Classique

The anticipation is building as the Ford RideLondon Classique prepares to welcome the strongest and most competitive field of elite teams in its history for the 2024 edition. With top-ranked teams from around the globe confirmed to participate, this year’s race promises to be a thrilling showcase of women’s cycling talent.

Leading the pack is the world-renowned Team SD Worx-Protime, boasting an impressive roster of riders and an unrivalled track record of success. With star athletes such as the 2022 winner Lorena Wiebes and Lotte Kopecky among their ranks, Team SD Worx-Protime is set to be a formidable force on the road in London and Essex.

Joining them are powerhouse teams like Lidl-Trek, Canyon//SRAM Racing, and UAE Team ADQ, each bringing their own strengths and ambitions to the race. With riders eager to make their mark on the prestigious event, competition is sure to be fierce from start to finish.

Also returning to defend their title is Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, winners of the past two editions of the Ford RideLondon Classique through Lorena Wiebes in 2022 and Charlotte Kool in 2023. With a proven track record of success, they will undoubtedly be aiming to make it a hat-trick of victories this year.

In addition to the top-ranked teams, a strong contingent of British squads will be on the start line, including Lifeplus-Wahoo, DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK, Doltcini O’Shea, and Torelli. Providing a platform for home-grown talent to shine, these teams will be looking to make their mark on the international stage.

RideLondon Classique 2022 Jumbo Visma

Scott Sunderland, Race Director of the Ford RideLondon Classique, expressed his excitement at the calibre of teams set to compete in this year’s event. He highlighted the race’s growing prestige and its importance in showcasing women’s cycling on a global scale.

With an action-packed itinerary that includes stages in Essex and a thrilling finale in central London, the Ford RideLondon Classique promises to deliver excitement and drama for fans and riders alike. As the countdown to race day begins, anticipation is building for what promises to be an unforgettable event.

This year’s race starts with two stages in Essex on Friday 24th May and Saturday 25th May 2024. Stage One (159km) is from Saffron Walden to Colchester while Stage Two (143km) starts and finishes in Maldon. The final stage (91km) is the iconic finale in central London on Sunday 26th May 2024, starting and finishing on The Mall.
