Vittoria Guazzini wins the Bretagne Ladies

The Italian won the Tour of Britain this Saturday

After 5 sunny Breton stages, Vittoria won the general classification of the 2022 edition of the Bretagne Ladies Tour Ceratizit, category 1 race. The team managed to be offensive and united from the first day, and Thursday’s time will allowed Vittoria to reverse the trend and put the leader’s jersey on her shoulders, jersey which she will keep until Saturday and which she will win. She also won the best young person’s jersey.

Victorie, very present during the whole event, returns from Brittany with the jersey of best climber, as for Marie, who rode on her Breton lands and in particular with the arrival of the 4th stage in Pontivy, won the jersey of best Breton . Finally, the FDJ – Nouvelle Aquitaine – Futuroscope won the general team classification. She also finished 4th overall in this Bretagne Ladies Tour Ceratizit.

Vittoria reflects on her victory: “I’m very happy to get my first victory with the team, but also my first professional victory, I’m really very happy! It’s a victory for the whole team because we did everything great job and the girls kept me safe the whole race so i thank them for all the work they did and i look forward to the next races because i think we can do some really good things !”

Marie, the race local, looks back on this lap: “I think we can be proud of ourselves, we won four jerseys out of five! The last one (that of the classification of the best sprinter), if Vittoria hadn’t didn’t fall on the second day, we might have thought about it. We didn’t get the stage victory, but we really knew how to show some great things. Throughout these five days and especially Friday and Saturday, we showed an organized, close-knit team. A big thank you to the girls and the staff for allowing us to experience races like this.

Personally, I’m wearing the most beautiful jersey (that of the best Breton) so I’m super happy! The sensations were good and I had fun in front of my friends, my family!”
