As the Women’s WorldTour grows, the number of top-level Women’s Continental teams starts to get fewer. So whilst plenty of teams are now in the Women’s WorldTour jersey review, there are still some great designs to be found from the Continental teams. The likes of Ceratizit-WNT and AG Insurance-NXTG both missed out on making the WWT this season as Plantur Pura earned more points than both of them. However, they will be making a strong effort to qualify at the end of the 2023 season when the points totals from 2022 and 2023 are combined. Both are already ahead of a number of teams already in the WWT, so they will fancy their chances.

ToggleThe likes of Team Coop-Hitec Products, Zaaf Cycling, Parkhotel Valkenburg and Cofidis will all try to be thorns in the side of the WWT teams when it comes to races. Any of them can win races with the right bit of luck. We should expect to see the likes of Arkea, BePink, St Michel-Auber 93, Stade Rochelais and Top Girls Fassa Bortolo contest the grand tours of the Giro Donne or Tour de France Femmes in 2023.
The biggest open question at the moment is what Valcar do. The highly successful team tried to earn the sponsorship to join the WWT, they had easily enough points to do so, but instead are scaling down back to their development roots. If they maintain a Continental team level, they will keep the auto invites to the biggest races in 2023, albeit without the stars that have made the last few years such a good time for the team.
