2024 Giro d’Italia Women route announced

CERES, ITALY - JULY 04: Annemiek Van Vleuten of The Netherlands and Movistar Team - Pink Leader Jersey after being involved in a crash during the 34th Giro d'Italia Donne 2023, Stage 5 a 105.6km stage from Salassa to Ceres / #UCIWWT / on July 04, 2023 in Ceres, Italy

The 2024 Giro d’Italia route was announced today, with RCS confirming the route of the race they’re organising for the first time. After many years where previous organisers have largely been criticised for being slow to adjust to the fast changes in women’s cycling, it is expected that RCS, who host the men’s Giro d’Italia, will bring the race up to the expected standard of a Women’s WorldTour race in 2024.

Last year’s winner Annemiek van Vleuten retired at the end of the season so we are guaranteed a fresh winner of the legendary pink jersey in this year’s Giro d’Italia Women race.
