Chiara Reghini will join Mayenne Monbana My Pie for the 2027 season after signing a two-year contract with the French ProTeam.
The 23-year-old Italian becomes the team’s first confirmed recruit for next year and will remain with the squad until the end of 2028. The transfer was announced by Mayenne Monbana My Pie on Monday.
Reghini will step up to ProTeam level after spending the past four seasons with Top Girls Fassa Bortolo. The move follows a strong 2026 campaign in which she has shown increasing potential on hilly terrain and in stage races.
Her most significant result came at the 2026 Vuelta a Burgos Féminas, where she finished 14th overall against a strong Women’s WorldTour field.
That performance appears to have convinced Mayenne Monbana My Pie that she can strengthen its options among the climbers and puncheurs.
Reghini rewarded after Burgos breakthrough
Reghini’s Burgos result was particularly important because the four-stage race became progressively harder before finishing at Lagunas de Neila.
It required riders to remain well positioned through the faster opening stages before surviving the decisive climbing test on the final day. Finishing 14th overall showed that Reghini could produce a consistent performance across a complete WorldTour stage race rather than simply deliver one strong day.
She has also shown promise in difficult one-day races and from reduced groups. Reghini was part of the decisive selection at the 2024 Giro della Toscana, while she briefly formed part of the breakaway during the Giro dell’Emilia later that season.
Those results fit the profile Mayenne Monbana My Pie wants to add. Reghini is not a pure high-mountain climber, but she should be able to contribute on rolling courses, uphill finishes and stage races where repeated climbing gradually reduces the field.
Mayenne targeting greater climbing depth
Team manager Jean-Christophe Barbotin said the squad needed to reinforce its climbing and puncheur group.
“Looking at her results over the past few years, and especially this season at Burgos, we had to contact her and ultimately sign her,” Barbotin said.
He also highlighted Reghini’s background and personality. The Italian comes from the Treviso region and is the daughter of a winegrower, something Barbotin connected to the team’s own rural identity and values.
“Whether in cycling or working as a farmer or winegrower, you need courage, and those are real values for us,” he added.
Mayenne Monbana My Pie entered the women’s ProTeam tier for 2026 after taking over the former Winspace Orange Seal structure. The team has since added riders including Allison Mrugal and Francesca Hall as it builds a roster capable of competing in harder international races.
The French squad was also selected for the 2026 Tour de France Femmes, underlining the level of programme Reghini will be joining.
First opportunity at ProTeam level
The transfer represents an important step for Reghini, who has spent her professional career at Continental level with Top Girls Fassa Bortolo.
“I am very excited about joining Mayenne Monbana My Pie in 2027,” Reghini said. “It will be my first season at ProTeam level. My aim is to continue progressing as an athlete while gaining as much experience as possible.”
The two-year agreement gives both rider and team time to develop that potential without expecting immediate major victories.
Reghini is likely to begin by working for the team’s established leaders on hilly and mountainous terrain, while receiving her own opportunities in selected stage races and one-day events. Her Burgos performance suggests she may already be capable of contributing at a higher level, particularly when the race is decided through attrition rather than a pure sprint.
She becomes Mayenne Monbana My Pie’s first confirmed signing for 2027, with further additions expected as the team continues shaping its roster for next season.
