Caroline Wreszin will stay with St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93 for the 2027 season after extending her contract following her first year as a professional.
The 25-year-old American joined the French ProTeam for 2026 and has spent the season adapting to a full European calendar, including appearances at Milano-Sanremo Donne, the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix Femmes, the Giro d’Italia Women and Tour de France Femmes.
Wreszin said the step into the professional peloton had given her a much clearer idea of the level required and left her keen to build on that experience rather than move on after one season.
“Seeing firsthand what the highest level of racing looks like has left me extremely motivated,” she said. “I’m looking forward to a productive offseason and coming back in January at a new level.”
Wreszin built experience across the biggest races in 2026
Wreszin’s first professional season has taken her through a wide range of race types. She finished 47th at Milano-Sanremo Donne and 75th at Paris-Roubaix Femmes, then moved into stage racing with 29th overall at the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas.
Her summer included both the Giro and Tour de France Femmes, giving her two Grand Tour starts in her debut professional campaign. She also finished sixth in the US national time trial and 13th in the road race.
That volume of racing is the main reason both rider and team see value in continuity. Rather than starting again in a new environment, Wreszin can use 2027 to build on a season spent learning the demands of WorldTour and ProTeam racing.
St Michel continue to shape their 2027 roster
Wreszin’s renewal is the latest piece of a growing 2027 roster. Heidi Franz and Elyne Roussel have also extended, while the team have added riders including Martina Fidanza, Gaia Segato and Cristina Tonetti.
The renewals matter as St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93 prepare to put even greater emphasis on the women’s programme from 2027. ProCyclingUK previously covered the team’s decision to focus its professional future on the women’s squad.
Wreszin thanked the team for the opportunity to continue that development, describing 2026 as a “dream debut season” and saying she is looking forward to finding further areas for improvement over the winter.
Her second season with St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93 will begin in January 2027, with the expectation that the experience gathered across two Grand Tours and several major Classics this year will translate into a more assured role in the team.
