Léane Tabu extends with Team Abadie-Magnan for 2027

Léane Tabu will remain with Team Abadie-Magnan for the 2027 season after agreeing a contract extension with the French Continental squad.

The 20-year-old joined the team for 2026 and has been retained as part of a young roster that Abadie-Magnan are continuing to build around. The team confirmed the renewal through its official Instagram account, with sports director Adrien Boulenger highlighting both Tabu’s work for teammates and her ability to finish quickly when races come back together.

“Léane has been a valuable teammate throughout the season,” Boulenger said. He also pointed to her U23 status and the room she still has to develop, with the team keen to continue that process through 2027.

Tabu earns another year after first season with Abadie-Magnan

Tabu’s 2026 season mixed UCI racing with opportunities on the French national calendar. Her clearest individual result came in June, when she won the Route Vendéenne Féminine ahead of Manon Liboreau and Eva Philippe.

Against the clock, she finished eighth in the French U23 time-trial championship in July. She also recorded 30th at the Mirabelle Classic late in the season and 46th at Région Pays de la Loire Tour – Féminin in April.

The results sheet does not tell the whole story of her first year with the squad. Abadie-Magnan have specifically praised the work she has done for others, while also noting that she can still take her own chances in sprint finishes. For a rider who only turned 20 in May, that combination gives the team a clear reason to keep her in the structure for another season.

A rider with a strong junior background

Tabu arrived in the elite ranks with a substantial junior record behind her. She won the French junior time-trial title in 2023 and also produced strong international results during that period, including a podium at the European junior road championships and victory at the Chrono des Nations.

Those results pointed towards a rider with more range than a straightforward sprinter. Her 2026 season has followed the same pattern, with a good national-level win, a top-10 U23 time-trial result and a role within the team that often involved working for others.

That makes the 2027 extension a continuation rather than a reset. Tabu already knows the staff, race programme and expectations inside Abadie-Magnan, and the team can now focus on turning that experience into a stronger second season.

Tabu targets another step forward in 2027

Tabu said she was happy to continue with the team and wants to play a full part in its next phase. “I’m very motivated to give everything to reach my personal goals and contribute to our collective objectives,” she said.

The immediate aim will be consistency. Her 2026 campaign included several races where she did not reach the finish, so converting more of those starts into completed race days should give her more chances to use the sprinting ability Abadie-Magnan believe is there.

There should also be room to keep developing her time-trialling. Eighth at the French U23 championships was one of her better UCI-level results of the year and fits with the strength she showed as a junior.

For Team Abadie-Magnan, the extension keeps another young French rider inside the project while preserving continuity into 2027. For Tabu, it gives her a second season in the same environment to turn flashes of speed and strength into more regular results.
