A familiar name on the Pacific Northwest calendar, the Tour de Bloom enters new territory in 2025 as it joins the UCI international calendar for the first time. This year’s edition, held from 2nd to 6th May around Wenatchee, Washington, marks a major step forward for women’s racing in North America, earning its 2.2 classification and becoming one of just two UCI stage races for women on the continent this season.

ToggleThe five-day event features a varied parcours designed to test every skillset, from the high-speed technical corners of the Twilight Downtown Criterium to the leg-sapping gradients of the Mission Ridge queen stage. The final day’s redesigned summit finish climbs to over 8500 feet of elevation gain, providing a definitive GC battleground for riders looking to leave a mark early in the international calendar.
While still new to the UCI scene, Tour de Bloom has attracted an intriguing line-up of domestic and international talent. Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY24 headline the start list as one of two UCI Continental teams, joined by the Sahand Pump Crown Tabriz squad, making the long trip from Iran. The rest of the field is composed of strong US-based Domestic Elite and Club teams, including Fount Cycling Guild, L.A. Sweat, Monarch Racing, Red Truck Racing, and Analog Racing Team, among others. Tour de Bloom is the best chance this season for many of these squads to earn UCI points without travelling to Europe. It’s also worth keeping an eye on the Aegis Cycling Mixed Team team which contains some seriously strong names known to European fans.
As the peloton prepares to take on the mountain passes and orchard-lined roads of Washington state, all eyes will be on how the international newcomers stack up against the best of the domestic circuit.
