Bloeizone Fryslân Tour: time trial, echelons and sprints

The Bloeizone Fryslân Tour – former known as the Healthy Ageing Tour – is the first race of 2022 on Dutch grounds.  This edition contains three stages in the North of the Netherlands.

Thursday the stage race will start with an individual time trial over 14,4 km in Surhuisterveen. The second stage will bring the peloton from Eastermar to Bakkeveen and on Saturday the final stage takes place in Drachten. Liv Racing Xstra starts with Eva Buurman, Rachele Barbieri, Alison Jackson, Amber van der Hulst, Quinty Ton and Silke Smulders. The team performed well in the last races and built up some confidence for the Dutch stage race.

“I always like racing this race. It is always a hard race with the wind playing an important factor. We did well as team in the last couple of races and are looking forward to compete in this race. I hope the wind will pick up a little, so there will be some chances for echelons and a smaller group at the finish. Last year I finished in the top-10 of a stage two times. In Le Samyn I picked up some confidence after a good race and I think we are ready to aim for a nice result with the team”, Van der Hulst said.

04/03, stage 2: Eastermar – Bakkeveen (135.9 km)
05/03, stage 3: Drachten – Drachten (139.5 km)
