Career overview
Meakin came into cycling after playing rugby to a high level and developed into a strong British time-trial specialist. Her early results with The Independent Pedaler included victory in the National 25 Mile Time Trial Championship and 6th in the British national time-trial championship in 2019, which helped earn a move to Drops for 2020. She later raced with Drops-Le Col s/b TEMPUR and AWOL O’Shea, adding further international experience in Belgian and European one-day races. Her best UCI-level results included 4th in the 2022 British national time-trial, 11th at Chrono des Nations in 2022 and 16th overall at the 2022 Tour of Uppsala before stepping away from professional road racing after 2023.
