Lorena Wiebes went 2 from 2 yesterday but today’s stage finish on Jebel Hafeet is a very different beast. 7km of around 9% makes it a pure test for the climbers and an interesting test to see if Lotte Kopecky can hang with them as well. We saw what she did on the Tourmalet last year in the Tour de France Femmes and this is the first real comparison point to her ride that day. The major rivals will be on the Lidl-Trek team with Elisa Longo Borghini looking to see how she is after a crash on Stage 1 and putting in a tonne of work when the echelons formed yesterday. It might all signal a Gaia Realini GC victory on the steep slopes and staying out of trouble on the flat Stage 4!
