The final stage of this year’s Vuelta a Burgos Feminas, which doesn’t have a summit finish for a change. Instead, we get a Cat 1 climb with a summit 15km from the end. That will open up the possibilities as riders may be able to go clear on the climb but still be caught by a superior descender or an engine with some power left to the finish line.
The time gaps after Stage 2’s hill finish aren’t huge either with Evita Muzic only 8 seconds behind Demi Vollering. Karlijn Swinkels is 11 seconds back but will be doing well to hang onto that position today. Elise Chabbey 23 seconds back might have too much to do to challenge but a podium is in the offering.
