The return of the Vuelta CV Feminas sees the same route as last season and similarly late live TV coverage. The middle climb La Frontera saw the race explode into bits but unfortunately, we saw nothing of it. As the climbers attacked, a small group formed, including Liane Lippert, Floortje Mackaij, Nikola Noskova, Clara Koppenburg and Erica Magnaldi. The Movistar pair used their numerical advantage to the best effect, attacking and re-attacking their breakaway companions until eventually, Mackaij went clear. Once that happened, the result was a formality. We will miss seeing La Frontera again but will see the outcome of the race splitting up again.
