NXTG Racing has an exciting and hard week of racing coming up in the Simac Ladies Tour, a six-day stage race in the Netherlands at WorldTour level. Sports director Brent Van Ballenberghe lines up with Julia Borgström, Britt Knaven, Charlotte Kool, Ilse Pluimers, Maud Rijnbeek and Catalina Soto Campos for the race.
This is a week where our riders can get valuable experience at the highest level. For many of them it’s even the first stage race at WorldTour level and it should really make them stronger. We will sprint with Charlotte Kool in the flat stages. It’s hard to express ambitions for the general classification because we have to see day by day how it is going. I am 100% sure our riders will ride in the picture this week so tune in and watch them on tv.
Charlotte Kool won a stage in the Baloise Ladies Tour earlier this summer and feels motivated to sprint against some of the fastest riders of the peloton.
I have been looking forward to this wonderful race through the Netherlands for a while. In the past weeks I did everything to be as fit as I could be at the start and I am really looking forward to contest the sprint in the flat stages and get a good result. This is a high level so I need the help of my teammates and hope that we can achieve results together.
In the hillier stages I will help the other girls and again hope that we can do well as a team here. For many of the riders it’s the first WorldTour race so we will all suffer but also learn a lot of things.
You can watch NXTG Racing live every day on GCN, Eurosport and on Dutch regional broadcasters (non geo-restricted): Omroep Gelderland, RTV Oost and L1 from 1pm CET. The final stage on Sunday is at 12.30pm.
