Nathalie Eklund took the silver this Saturday at the Swedish Time Trial Championship. The rider of the Talent Cycling Elite team only had to tolerate Lisa Norden. Teammate Clara Lundmark finished 14th.

The long wait finally seems to be over. On Saturday, Nathalie Eklund and Clara Lundmark were the first Talent Cycling riders to start an official race. They did this during the Swedish Time Trial Championship.

This match was an important goal for Eklund. After falling in the medals last year, they also wanted to repeat. Before that, she still had to deal with strong competitors such as Hanna Nilsson, Lisa Norden, Julia Borgstrom and Emilia Fahlin.

A strong time trial with an average speed of 43.6 km / h and a time of 43 minutes and 51 seconds was clearly good enough for a medal. However, the gold turned out to be just missing. Four-time national champion Lisa Norden again took the win this year and referred Eklund to the silver.

“I came for the gold,” Eklund looks back. “So it is a pity that I was not able to win, but I still think I rode a strong time trial. So for now I will have to be happy with silver. ”
