The organisers of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift have unveiled the 22 teams set to compete from 26th July 2025. As anticipated, the selection comprises all 15 UCI Women’s WorldTeams, the top two ranked Continental squads from 2024 (who are now ProTeams), and five invited teams. While the lineup largely mirrors expectations, a couple of notable changes have emerged. The 2025 Tour de France Femmes route was already announced during the off-season.

Notable changes in team selection
The inclusion of Winspace Orange Seal marks a significant shift, as they step into the wildcard spot previously held by Lotto Ladies. The Belgian team misses out on the 2025 edition following the departure of key rider Thalita de Jong, whose performances were instrumental in their previous successes.
Additionally, VolkerWessels Cycling Team replaces Tashkent City Women, reflecting the automatic selections based on 2024 rankings. The Dutch squad’s consistent performance has earned them a first appearance in the Tour de France Femmes since racing as Parkhotel Valkenburg in the first rebooted edition in 2022. They wore the Queen of the Mountains jersey for 6 days that year through Femke Markus and Femke Gerritse.
A look back at the 2024 Tour de France Femmes
The 2024 edition of the Tour de France Femmes delivered a gripping contest that culminated in a nail-biting finish. Kasia Niewiadoma of CanyonโSRAM clinched the overall victory with a slender four-second margin over defending champion Demi Vollering. The race remained undecided until the final ascent to Alpe d’Huez, where Vollering’s stage win wasn’t sufficient to overturn Niewiadoma’s advantage.
The podium was completed by Pauliena Rooijakkers of FenixโDeceuninck, who secured third place after a strong performance on the concluding stage. The points classification was dominated by Marianne Vos, who donned the green jersey for the second time. Justine Ghekiere emerged as the Queen of the Mountains for AG InsuranceโSoudal, while Puck Pieterse took home the white jersey as the best young rider.
