Career overview
Rooijakkers developed into an elite climber after several seasons with Parkhotel Valkenburg and achieved one of her biggest victories at Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria in 2022. That season also brought second overall at Itzulia Women and third at the Tour de Suisse Women. Her Grand Tour performances reached another level with Fenix-Deceuninck, finishing fourth at the 2024 Giro d’Italia Women before taking third overall at the Tour de France Femmes, where she also finished second on the Alpe d’Huez finale. Rooijakkers was fourth again at the Giro in 2025 and ninth at the Tour de France Femmes. She joined UAE Team L’IMAD for 2026, adding further climbing strength to one of the deepest stage-racing squads in the peloton.
