Yara Kastelijn is reportedly set to leave Fenix-Premier Tech at the end of the 2026 season, bringing her long association with the Roodhooft brothers’ organisation to a close.
The 28-year-old Dutch rider has signed with Human Powered Health for 2027, according to WielerFlits.
Kastelijn has been part of the wider Roodhooft structure for nine years, initially through cyclo-cross before gradually building a substantial road programme. She has combined both disciplines since 2020 and developed into one of Fenix-Premier Tech’s most reliable riders on hilly and mountainous terrain.
Her biggest road victory came on Stage 4 of the 2023 Tour de France Femmes. Kastelijn formed part of a breakaway that gained more than ten minutes before attacking alone during the difficult finale into Rodez.

Kastelijn has enjoyed one of the strongest road seasons of her career in 2026.
She won the Vuelta a Burgos Féminas after taking victory on the final summit finish at Lagunas de Neila. Her decisive attack came inside the final part of the climb, allowing her to secure both the stage and the overall classification.
That result showed how far she has progressed from being primarily a breakaway specialist. Kastelijn can now remain competitive across an entire stage race and finish the job on a sustained mountain climb.
She also finished second overall at Itzulia Women and won the mountains classification. The combination of those results has made 2026 her clearest season yet as a stage-race contender rather than simply a rider capable of taking isolated victories.

Nine years within the Roodhooft structure
Kastelijn’s departure would end one of the longest current relationships between a rider and the Fenix organisation.
She won the European cyclo-cross title in 2019 before becoming increasingly important to the team’s road programme. Kastelijn has since ridden the Tour de France Femmes four times and has become a regular presence in major one-day races including the Tour of Flanders and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Her versatility has allowed Fenix-Premier Tech to use her as a climber, breakaway rider and secondary stage-race leader.
She is currently competing at the 2026 Tour de France Femmes as part of a squad also containing Puck Pieterse, Charlotte Kool, Sara Casasola, Christina Schweinberger, Millie Couzens and Lotte Claes.

Human Powered Health continue ambitious recruitment
The reported move would strengthen a Human Powered Health squad looking to become more competitive across stage races and hilly Classics.
Kastelijn would bring proven WorldTour experience, climbing strength and the ability to win from long-range moves. Her results this season also suggest she can provide a genuine general classification option when a race contains repeated climbing.
Human Powered Health have also reportedly signed Marta Lach from SD Worx-Protime for 2027. Cédrine Kerbaol and Letizia Paternoster have also been linked with the American team, although those moves have not yet been officially confirmed.

For Fenix-Premier Tech, Kastelijn’s departure would remove one of the team’s most experienced and dependable all-rounders.
For Human Powered Health, it would represent the addition of a rider entering the strongest road-racing period of her career.
