The 2026 Renewi Tour takes place from Wednesday 19 August to Sunday 23 August, with five stages entirely in Belgium and live coverage available in the UK through TNT Sports and HBO Max.

ToggleThe race begins with a new Grand Départ in Diest, visits Ardooie and Geraardsbergen during the week and finishes with a hilly final stage around Leuven. There is no individual time trial in 2026, making the repeated climbs, bonus seconds and Classics-style stages particularly important to the overall classification.
For the full sporting picture, our Renewi Tour 2026 route guide breaks down all five stages, while the beginner’s guide to the Renewi Tour 2026 explains how the race works and why sprinters, puncheurs and cobbled Classics specialists can all contend for the overall victory.

The race organisers have confirmed Eurosport coverage outside Belgium. In the UK, Warner Bros. Discovery’s cycling coverage now sits under TNT Sports, with HBO Max providing the streaming option following the move away from Discovery+ earlier in 2026.
Where can I watch Renewi Tour 2026 in the UK?
UK viewers should look for the Renewi Tour on TNT Sports each afternoon.
For online viewing, the race will be available through HBO Max as part of its TNT Sports offering. HBO Max replaced Discovery+ as the streaming home of TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland in March 2026, so older guides directing viewers towards Discovery+ no longer reflect the current setup.
The precise TNT Sports channel can vary from stage to stage depending on the wider sporting schedule. ProCyclingUK’s men’s cycling TV guide hub keeps the latest viewing information for the main races together in one place.

The scheduled race starts are given in Belgian local time, which is one hour ahead of the UK during August.
| Stage | Local start | UK start |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 12:00 CEST | 11:00 BST |
| Stage 2 | 12:15 CEST | 11:15 BST |
| Stage 3 | 11:40 CEST | 10:40 BST |
| Stage 4 | 10:40 CEST | 09:40 BST |
| Stage 5 | 10:40 CEST | 09:40 BST |
These are the actual race start times rather than necessarily the live television start.
As with many European stage races, television pictures are likely to begin later in the day rather than showing every kilometre from the neutralised start. The final TNT Sports listings should therefore be checked for the exact daily broadcast time.
How to stream Renewi Tour 2026 on HBO Max
HBO Max is the main online option for British viewers who want to stream the race rather than watch through a conventional television provider.
The change from Discovery+ matters because many older cycling guides still refer to the previous service. Since March 2026, TNT Sports content in the UK has moved across to HBO Max.
Viewers need access to a subscription which includes TNT Sports. Once live coverage begins, each Renewi Tour stage should be available through the live sport section.
Can I watch Renewi Tour 2026 on Discovery+?
Not as the main UK streaming service for TNT Sports.
The UK streaming arrangement changed earlier in 2026, with HBO Max replacing Discovery+ for TNT Sports content.
The underlying cycling coverage remains broadly familiar. What has changed is where viewers find it online.
Anyone who watched the Renewi Tour through Discovery+ in previous years should therefore use HBO Max in 2026.
Photo Credit: GettyIs Renewi Tour 2026 free to watch in the UK?
There is currently no confirmed free-to-air UK coverage of the Renewi Tour.
TNT Sports and HBO Max are therefore the main British viewing options.
The situation is different in Belgium, where the race is broadcast live by Sporza on VRT and Tipik on RTBF. Those broadcasts are intended for the Belgian market rather than as a UK alternative.
Which Renewi Tour stages are most worth watching?
If you cannot watch all five stages, Stages 3 and 5 are the priorities.
Stage 3: Celles to Geraardsbergen
Friday’s stage heads into classic Flemish terrain and includes the Muur van Geraardsbergen and Bosberg.
This is the obvious queen stage and the first day where meaningful GC gaps are likely to appear. The short climbs, cobbles and narrow roads make it much more like a one-day Classic than a conventional stage-race mountain day.
With no time trial this year, any seconds gained around Geraardsbergen become even more valuable.
Stage 5: Leuven to Leuven
The final stage is another hilly Classics-style race and should keep the overall classification open until Sunday.
Leuven’s repeated short climbs provide numerous opportunities for attacks, while bonus seconds can become crucial if the GC is close.
The 2025 Renewi Tour showed exactly how important the final day can be, with Arnaud De Lie and Mathieu van der Poel fighting for seconds before De Lie eventually secured the overall victory.
Our brief history of the Renewi Tour covers that finale as part of the event’s development from the Eneco Tour and BinckBank Tour into the modern race.

Stage 2 should be the clearest sprint day
Thursday’s route from Blankenberge to Ardooie gives the pure sprinters their most obvious opportunity.
The profile is predominantly flat and Ardooie has a long history of producing bunch finishes. The main complication is the wind, particularly on the exposed roads of West Flanders.
A strong crosswind can split the peloton even when the route profile looks completely harmless, so GC contenders cannot simply switch off for the day.
If the wind remains manageable, this should be the stage where the biggest sprint teams have the most control.
Stage 1 could be more selective than expected
The opening stage around Diest is harder to predict.
The Hageland roads contain repeated short rises without one major climb capable of defining the stage. That makes the route suitable for powerful sprinters, puncheurs and Classics riders rather than one obvious specialist.
The first leader’s jersey will also be available, increasing the value of the finish bonuses and encouraging teams to race more aggressively than they might on a conventional opening sprint stage.
Stage 4 gives the sprinters another opportunity
Riemst to Bilzen-Hoeselt should offer another chance to the faster riders, although it is less straightforward than Ardooie.
The Limburg terrain is rolling and the finish rises slightly, which should favour sprinters capable of handling repeated short climbs.
Coming between Geraardsbergen and Leuven, it may also be a stage where the leading GC teams prefer to conserve energy rather than forcing another difficult day.
Why the Renewi Tour is worth watching
The Renewi Tour is one of the most unusual stage races on the WorldTour calendar.
There are no high mountains and there is no individual time trial in 2026. Instead, the overall winner has to survive terrain more closely associated with the spring Classics.
That means crosswinds, cobbles, positioning and short climbs can all decide the GC.
A conventional climber cannot rely on a summit finish to gain minutes. A pure time triallist has no stage against the clock. Even the sprinters can remain in the overall battle if they survive Geraardsbergen and Leuven.
The race often produces gaps measured in seconds rather than minutes, making bonus seconds and tactical decisions disproportionately important.
For a deeper explanation of why the event produces such unusual GC battles, see our beginner’s guide to the Renewi Tour 2026.
