Nikola Nosková leaves Cofidis to join Mayenne Monbana My Pie for 2027

Nikola Nosková will leave Cofidis for Mayenne Monbana My Pie in 2027, becoming the French Women’s ProTeam’s sixth new signing ahead of next season. The 29-year-old Czech rider brings experience from several top-level squads and is expected to take on greater responsibility as a leader in her new team.

Mayenne confirmed the move on Monday, 19 October, following a season in which Nosková finished fifth at Giro dell’Emilia Donne, fourth overall at the Vuelta a Extremadura and fourth in the Czech road race championship. She also earned the combativity award on the opening stage of the Tour de France Femmes, after spending much of the day in the breakaway.

“I’m really happy to join the team,” Nosková said in the announcement, adding that she hopes to continue developing as a leader and compete at the highest level. The team has not announced the duration of her contract.

Nosková brings climbing results and an attacking approach

Nosková’s fifth place at Giro dell’Emilia on 3 October was one of Cofidis’s strongest results in the closing weeks of the 2026 road season. She finished immediately ahead of team-mate Julie Bego on a course whose repeated ascent of San Luca usually exposes any weakness on steep gradients. It was also a race with history for Nosková: she had finished third there in 2019, illustrating her long-standing ability on demanding one-day terrain.

Her fourth place overall at March’s Vuelta a Extremadura offered a different demonstration of her strengths. She climbed to fourth on the final stage and finished the three-day event in the same position overall, while also taking second in the mountains classification. Earlier in the year, she had finished 11th overall at the UAE Tour Women and subsequently took fifth at the Grand Prix du Morbihan in May.

The Tour de France Femmes provided a more visible example of the approach that Mayenne want from her. Nosková was active in the breakaway on the opening stage and earned the day’s combativity prize. The effort did not deliver a high stage placing, but it showed her willingness to commit to a move in a race where escaping the peloton is difficult.

National titles and WorldTour experience

Nosková has been racing at international level for almost a decade. She won both the Czech national road race and time-trial titles in 2017, then became European under-23 road race champion in 2018. She added further Czech time-trial titles in 2020 and 2021, and her results include third at the 2023 Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana Feminas.

Her career has taken her through BePink, Bigla, Équipe Paule Ka, SD Worx and Massi–Tactic before she joined Cofidis for 2024. That range of experience is particularly relevant to a squad trying to establish itself higher up the women’s racing hierarchy: Nosková has ridden WorldTour stage races, hilly Classics and smaller events where a strong individual rider needs to create her own opportunities.

Team manager Jean-Christophe Barbotin described her as “a natural attacker and a real powerhouse on the bike”. His assessment reflects the reasons behind the signing: Mayenne are adding an experienced rider who can race proactively, not simply another name to fill out the roster.

Mayenne continue building their 2027 squad

Nosková follows a series of recruitment announcements from the French team. The squad has already confirmed the arrival of Giada Silo, Swedish champion Clara Lundmark and Heïdi Gaugain on a two-year agreement as it prepares for 2027.

Where some of those signings add younger talent or specialist strengths, Nosková offers experience and the prospect of leadership in hilly races. Her results in Extremadura and on San Luca show that she can be competitive when a race is decided by climbing, while her Tour de France Femmes breakaway suggests she will not necessarily wait for the final ascent to make her move.
